Kick Off Meeting in Bejing, September 10, 2005

Overview

...of Germany and members of the Chinese Coal Mining Community (e.g. Shenhua, CGS, CNACG). Furthermore, representatives of all members of the Sino-German coal fire research project were present.
After the originally planned kick-off meeting of May 9th had to be postponed due to SARS the official kick-off of the Sino-German Coal Fire Research Initiative took place on September 9th 2003. Before the official meeting, several preparatory meetings mainly on work package basis allowed to discuss and address problems and find - in most cases - solutions. After the kick-off in Beijing a smaller group of delegates visited the test areas and continued discussions there.

  • Software evaluation and co-ordination
  • Implementation of workflow concerning planning and handling of data
  • Implementation of light weight data exchange tool with meta data handling capability
